Mattheius and Godesburg restaurant projects.
Over the summer months I was working (for my company, HiBlue) to create videos for a few clients in the restaurant and event sector around Bonn. Matthieu’s restaurant in the Sudstadt is a fine place with a great outdoor seating area for the summer and a very convivial dining room indoors for the cooler months. Restaurant Godesburg, on the other hand is a big, impressive location that can host weddings and corporate events. The location, stunning. Here’s some of the photography we did for Matthieu’s. Bonn Hauptbahnhof – An ugly welcome, in pictures.
I start this blog with what I think is the worst aspect of Bonn. It affects most, if not all the residents and tourists at some point and something needs to be done about it as soon as possible. The beautiful main train station building is really quite impressive in terms of architecture but as an en experience it is dark, smelly, ugly and an embarrassment. Work will start on renovating the leaking roof soon and there are plans to redevelop the area in front of the station. The strassenbahn underpass is nearly repaired and at least there’s been some progress to the rear with a new hotel and food…

I’ve been living in Bonn for 13 years and it’s about bloody time I started writing about this wonderful city. Technically this Bonn-focused website is live, but it needs a lot more work before you will bookmark it. My starting point was to curate the best of my photographs of Bonn and to add them to a gallery. I’ve now done that..and my first Bonn photo-tour is ready. 50+ photos are now available in the gallery, and you can see them here.
